A special event to showcase youth service provision will be held this week for youngsters about to leave the care system in Caerphilly county borough.
To celebrate National Care Leavers Week, Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Leaving Care team in partnership with the Council’s Youth Service will hold an event next week to showcase the provision of youth services in the county borough.
The event will be held on Wednesday 27th October at Caerphilly Leisure Centre between 10am and 2pm.
The event will provide information about personal and social education opportunities for young people between the ages of 11 and 25, and introduce the work of the Youth Service for Looked After Children, Care Leavers and young people who are known to Children’s Services.
The organisations that will be showcasing their services at the event include:
- Youth Clubs
- Outreach/Street based Youth Workers
- The Basement Youth Information Service
- The Hub Communities First Project
- Young Mums and Healthy Living Projects
- Youth Forum
- Information for Children and Young People
- Careers Wales
