Detectives in Bridgend are appealing for information following a burglary which occurred at a farm house on Abbey Road, Ewenny between 3.00am and 3.30am on Thursday 22nd May.
Access was gained to the property during the early hours of the morning and a quantity of sterling and foreign currency and store vouchers were stolen before the intruder(s) were disturbed by the householder and they fled from the property.
Among the stolen property was £350 of John Lewis vouchers, £200 in cash, $280 US dollars, 310 euros, $40 Canadian dollars, 365 Malaisian ringgits, 4000 Thai baht and around a million Vietnamese dong (approx. £20).
Detective sergeant Paul Mason of Bridgend CID said: “Whoever was responsible for this forced a rear window of the house open before getting into the property. Once disturbed, they made their escape having found a quantity of different currency.
“We want to hear from anyone who may have been offered any of the different currencies which were stolen or who may have any information which may help us in our investigations.”
