Father Christmas will be showing his support for Fair Trade by wearing a very special Fair Trade suit this Christmas.
The Fair Trade Santa suit was designed by Claire Andrew from Newport University’s school of fashion and is 100% ethically sourced, made from both Fair Trade materials and Welsh wool donated by the British Wool Marketing Board.
Elen Jones, the National Co-ordinator for Fair Trade Wales said:
‘It’s a very different suit that Father Christmas is wearing for us this year, showing we can reuse materials and demonstrating how Fair Trade and local produce can work together.
‘We must say a big thank you to Father Christmas for taking time out of his busy Christmas schedule to promote Fair Trade and give his support to farmers and producers in developing countries.’
