The annual Forest Fun events held at Loggerheads Country Park for the past six years have proved so popular that they have been extended to Llyn Brenig, near Corwen.
The two-hour sessions run by Forestry Commission Wales Woodlands for Learning Education officers throughout the summer holidays attract hundreds of children into the woods to learn new skills in the great outdoors.
Families can try their hand at a variety of different woodland-related activities including den building, forest stories and woodland art. Many of the craft based activities can be repeated easily at home.
The final event at Loggerheads, in partnership with Denbighshire Countryside Service, takes place on Monday 16 August between 1.30pm and 3.30pm (meet at the FC Wales woodland classroom).
And the last chance to enjoy the Llyn Brenig event, in partnership with Dwr Cymru, is on Wednesday 18 August between 1pm and 3pm (meet at the visitor centre).
Details can be found in the Dwr Cymru Llyn Brenig Events 2010 programme and Denbighshire Out and About leaflets, both of which are free.
Because the events are so popular, you need to book prior to the event by calling 01352 810796 or 0300 068 0300.
