Fantastic Mr Fox comes to Cilgerran

The ever-popular Illyria – the UK’s top touring outdoor theatre company – are celebrating their 20th birthday this year, and – after their massive success with James And The Giant Peach in 2010 – they are loading up and digging deep with an EVEN BIGGER Roald Dahl classic for 2011…. please welcome FANTASTIC MR. FOX on Sunday 31 July at 4pm, in the beautiful setting of the Welsh Wildlife Centre, Cilgerran.

Illyria know that any performance may be a child’s first exposure to live theatre, and they make their shows an experience kids will remember for all the right reasons – great storytelling, bright costumes, live music, intelligence, entertainment and fun! Oh, and perhaps just a little cruelty, peril, or even death!

In 2010, Illyria was the first UK open-air touring company to be granted permission to perform the work of Roald Dahl. Following the highly-acclaimed sell-out James and the Giant Peach (2010), it’s time for Fantastic Mr. Fox!

All Mr Fox wants from life is to feed his family, and fortunately farmers Boggis, Bunce and Bean – one short, one fat, one lean – have an ample supply of chickens, geese and ducks. But these farmers are mean, cruel, ruthless and determined to put a stop to Mr Fox once and for all. As they rev up their mechanical diggers and load their guns, Mr Fox’s chances are slim at best… Or will the sharpest wit win?

This show is presented at the Welsh Wildlife Centre, Cilgerran in partnership with The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales and Theatr Mwldan. Tickets for the show are £13 each (£11 concessions, £9 children) Book now via www.mwldan.co.uk or by calling Theatr Mwldan’s Box Office on 01239 621200.
