A canoeist has died in hospital shortly after being rescued from a river just outside Tal y Bont near Bangor (Saturday 15th January).
The 57 year old man was canoeing with another man when their canoes capsized.
A passerby alerted emergency services at 12.25hrs. One canoeist made his own way to safety but the other was located downriver and was transferred to hospital by RAF 22 squadron.
There is no further information at present.
