South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a Fatal Road Traffic Collision that occurred at approximately 1715hrs on Thursday 14th April 2011 on the A4119 between the Coed Ely and Glifach Goch roundabouts.
A 46yr old local man was driving a black Ford Transit Tourneo minibus travelling north along the A4119 in the general direction of Tonyerefail when it was in collision with two motor cars that were travelling in the same direction. As a result of the collision the male was conveyed to Royal Glamorgan Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
South Wales Police would like to speak to any person who witnessed the collision or who stopped to provide assistance, or anyone who may have seen the vehicle being driven prior to the collision and who has not yet given their details.
The A4119 carriageway was closed for approximately four hours whilst the police conducted initial investigations and recovered the vehicle.
