Gwent Police is appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on Friday 19th August at approximately 1.50pm.
A single vehicle, Green Jaguar X Type was travelling Northbound on the A449 just prior to Usk when it left the carriageway. The driver, a male aged 58 years old, suffered injuries and was taken by Air Ambulance to UHW in Cardiff. He later died of his injuries in hospital.
Police are appealing for anyone who has any information, who was in the area at the time of the incident and saw the vehicle to contact them on 101.
The Northbound carriageway of the A449 was closed for five hours whilst specialist officers carried out an investigation.
