The motorcyclist who died in the collision on the A550 near Tinkersdale near Hawarden has been named as Russell James Green of Leighton Road, Neston, Wirral.
Russell’s wife Jane said: “Russell Green, aged 45, was a local businessman from Neston. He was tragically killed doing what he loved on 26 September 2010.
He leaves behind his loving wife Jane, four children Jayne, Sophie, Charlotte, Thomas, step daughter Daisy, mother Joan, brother Richard and sister Christine.
They added: “Russ was adored by his family and friends.”
