The line-up for Rhyl’s annual event has been finalised. Fun in the Sun goes ahead over the Bank Holiday and visitors and residents are in for a real treat as the Events Arena will be packed with an array of singers, bands and soap stars.
The free event organised by Denbighshire County Council’s Regeneration and Maritime Unit and supported by Rhyl Town Council takes place over two days 30 and 31 August between 12 noon and 5pm. Chart toppers Booty Luv will make a guest appearance. Booty Luv is an English dance group. It is fronted by two “RnB” vocalists, Cherise Roberts and Nadia Shepherd, both of whom were in the original line-up of the successful hip hop band Big Brovas.
Highlights also include former Blue star Lee Ryan, Big Brother 9’s Samanda, X Factor’s Alan Turner and Bad Lashes, Mark Read former A1 star and DiamondLive featuring Carley Stenson for CH4’s Hollyoaks. Other artists performing will be 80’s duo Black Lace, who will perform their hit Agadoo, Radio City’s presenter Pete Price, Marcquelle Ward star of ITV’s Britannia High and Coronation Street, boy band Kaos, girl band Vogue, duo The Cameleonz, girl band P5 and Fe-Nix.
The event also offers children’s entertainment, travelling fun fair, circus skills and face painting. Alongside the Fun in the Sun event, Rhyl’s RNLI will be hosting their annual Crew Open Day on Sunday, 30 August and thrills will include the return of MK9 Spitfire and the Red Devils Parachute Display Team.
