Police in Bridgend are appealing for information following a fire at a Pontycymer school which destroyed children’s play equipment.
The incident happened at Ysgol Cwm Garw in Hill View at around 5.00am on Friday 8th August.
A soft play area and climbing walls were set alight and damaged beyond repair.
Sergeant Rob Lewis, said: “This fire has caused irreparable damage to the play equipment at the school which will cost thousands of pounds to replace.
“I urge anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious or has any relevant information to come forward to help us with our investigation.”
