From tomorrow (Wednesday, 27 January 2010), for a period of five weeks, the Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency has warned that delays are likely for traffic travelling between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth on the main A487 trunk road.
Traffic light are being erected and will be in operation from dawn to dusk on the section of the A487 heading north from Eglwysfach towards the Ceredigion and Powys county border.
The work involves felling of trees nad the highway will be narrowed to one lane with occasional complete stoppage of traffic as and when trees are felled. It is not envisaged that such stoppages will normally extend beyond five minutes or so. The traffic lights will not be in operation on Sundays but may be operational on some Saturdays across the five week period.
