Come and see the new vision for Flint Pavilion!
A customer information event will be held at the Flint Pavilion Leisure Centre from 3pm to 7pm on Tuesday 18 October 2011.
The development proposal includes a state of the art ten pin bowling centre, an underwater themed children’s adventure soft play area, a four-lane flat green bowling facility, a multi activity studio for fitness and dance classes, a refurbished fitness suite, including an additional eight pieces of cardio vascular equipment, and a cafeteria with extended opening hours and an exciting new menu.
The refurbishment of Flint High School changing rooms and sports hall has also now been completed, which will ensure the continued provision of indoor sports in Flint.
Councillor Dennis Hutchinson, Executive Member for Leisure and Public Protection, said:
“This exciting proposed development will increase the sporting opportunities and choices for the residents of Flintshire. The new facilities will attract a wide range of Flintshire residents from varying age groups; from toddlers to senior citizens, promoting social cohesion and supporting the community safety agenda.
“I gave a personal commitment to Flintshire residents, in particular the bowling community, who currently have no indoor bowling provision, and I am very pleased that this proposed development will now come to fruition in Summer 2012.”
