Flint RNLI called to man suffering heart attack on riverbank

The volunteer crew of Flint RNLI lifeboat were on exercise on Sunday morning (31 July) when, at 10.40am, a call was received from Liverpool Coastguard asking for the lifeboat’s assistance with a male cyclist suffering with a suspected heart attack on the riverbank.

The lifeboat arrived on scene at 10.50am, where the ambulance and fire services were already in attendance. The man was taken into the care of paramedics.

The lifeboat remained at the scene until 11.05am, at which time it was stood down. It returned to Connahs Quay, where the lifeboat was recovered, and returned to Flint lifeboat station at 12.05pm.
