The famous Cardiff International Food and Drink festival returns this weekend.
The festival promotes the very finest in food, drink and entertainment from Wales and the world, taking place at Roald Dahl Plass in Cardiff Bay over the weekend of July 9 -11.
A rich variety of tastes and distinctive cultural styles from across the globe will be brought together and showcased in an exciting and colourful three-day event. This year there are over 100 producers representing Wales, England, Scotland, France, Germany, Norway and Italy.
Roald Dahl Plass will be transformed into a tented village, housing food producers from throughout Europe. Each pavilion will be bursting with tempting exhibits, from fresh fish and delicious cheeses to handmade liqueurs and luxury chocolates.
The free entertainment on offer will be as tempting as the food itself, featuring a mix of music including Celtic, Klezmer, Ska and Rock ‘n’ Roll.
As well as sampling the exhibitors’ wares, there is also a chance to try out your own culinary skills with a number of ticketed events taking place in the Norwegian Church including a wine seminar, Welsh cookery school, Mario’s award winning Welsh ice-cream workshops and Otley Welsh beer tasting seminars.
