Dogs in the Vale will be able to have a full once-over by PDSA veterinary nurses as the PetCheck vehicle rolls into the Vale this June, supported by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Between 9 – 13 June the PetCheck vehicle will be visiting a number of Vale locations where visitors will be able to have their dog checked, pick up advice from experienced PDSA nurses about canine health care as well as how to care for other animals.
The health check covers weight, eyes, teeth, ears, coat condition and general fitness.
The team will be out at the following locations from 9 June:
- 10am – 5pm, Wednesday 9 June at Porthkerry Country Park
- 10am – 5pm, Thursday 10 June at Victoria Park, Victoria Park Road, Barry
- 10am – 5pm, Friday 11 June at Buttrills Community Hall, North Walk, Barry
- 10am – 5pm, Cosmeston Lakes and Country Park, Lavernock Road, Penarth
- 10am – 4pm, Sunday 13 June at Penarth Leisure Centre, Andrew Road, Penarth
On busy days an appointment system will be in operation. Dogs are welcome but, for safety reasons, no other pets please.
