Free tennis for Gwynedd residents

If you live in Gwynedd you could take advantage of one of the county’s best sporting offers next week when the Arfon Tennis Centre, Caernarfon opens its doors and offers free tennis for all on Saturday, 28 April between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

If you want to see how your back-hand compares, or even if you’ve never played tennis before, why not come along to the Arfon Tennis Centre and take advantage of one of the country’s best sporting centres.

Staff at the Caernarfon Tennis Centre are hoping that this fun day will attract youngsters and adults to try their hand at tennis, with some hopefully staying on to become long term members of the club.

Gerallt Wyn Roberts, who works for Gwynedd Council as Arfon Leisure and Tennis Centre Manager said:

“Our aim by staging the free open day is to encourage people of all ages to come along to their local tennis centre and pick up a tennis racket. There will be something on offer for everyone, including coaching, social play and much, much more.”

“We hope that the open day will encourage more people to visit the Arfon Tennis Centre on a regular basis and to make the most of an excellent sporting facility, where you can receive coaching from our qualified staff, socialise and enjoy social play whilst improving your fitness and wellbeing at the same time.”

The centre is situated on Bethel Road, Caernarfon adjacent to the Arfon Leisure Centre. Facilities include; off road parking, and a brand new fitness room. For more information contact the centre’s reception on 01286 676945.
