Friday Afternoon Recitals at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama

We are well in to the Spring season now at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama but there are more afternoon recitals by internationally renowned visiting artists still to enjoy.

Alison McGillivray is one the UK’s most exciting and versatile baroque cellists.  Alison will be working with our students on Friday 25 February some of the gloriously rich and unexpectedly exotic stylus phantasticus repertoire from the seventeenth century.  Ensemble works alternate with solos from Alison in this delightful programme.

On Friday 11 March we welcome one of the most distinguished and respected violinists of her generation.  Janice Graham enjoys a varied career as soloist, chamber musician, director and leader. She has appeared as guest leader of most of the country’s leading orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra of which she was the assistant leader for eight years. Celebrating their 20th anniversary the Barbican Trio have forged a deserved reputation as one of the UKs leading chamber ensembles with a breadth of repertoire.  Audiences can enjoy the trio’s memorable rapport on Friday 25 March.
