Family and community fun will be the aim of the day in Ferndale next month.
The town is once again holding its Ferndale Festival extravaganza, with lots to see and do for residents of all ages.
Funding from the Heads of the Valleys programme and support from Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Town Centres Team has enabled the successful event to make a return for 2010.
Taking place in Darran Park from 11am to 4.30pm on Saturday, September 4, the Ferndale Festival will include:
- Live local bands
- DJ
- Falconry displays
- Mines Rescue displays
- Craft workshops
- Inflatables
- Food and craft market
- Dance performances and much, much more!
Cllr Paul Cannon, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Safer Communities, said: “Ferndale has come a long way in the last year and I am so pleased to see the return of the popular Ferndale Festival.
“Beautiful Darran Park will be packed full of fun activities and games for people of all ages to enjoy.
“As well as offering a great day out for all, the Ferndale Festival will also give visitors and residents the chance to see some of the significant work that has taken place in the town.”
