Twelve of Gwynedd’s sporting clubs and organisations have been awarded a total of more than £8,400 thanks to Gwynedd Council’s Sportlot Community Chest fund which is funded by the Sports Council for Wales.
From Tai Chi therapy, sailing opportunities and a local lifesaving club to a range of community football and tennis clubs and local health walks – they have all received a welcome boost thanks to recent Sportlot funding.
David Lloyd-Williams, of Gwynedd Council’s Sport Development Team said:
“Securing a funding boost of this sort can be great news for local sporting clubs and associations, and we hope that they will help more people to get active.
“Gwynedd sports clubs and organisations can benefit from grants of up to £1,000 through the Sportlot fund. We would urge any group or association who would like to find out if their project could be eligible for funding to contact the team.”
