Gwynedd Council’s Leisure Service has recently launched new health and fitness membership packages which offer great value for money, starting from just £16 a month.
The aim is to encourage people to live a healthy lifestyle, and to offer them that extra incentive to make a long-term commitment to improving their health rather than a one off spurt after Christmas.
With many people making new years resolutions to improve their lifestyle, there is no better time to take advantage of the bargain on offer. Whether it’s keeping fit, losing weight, meeting new people or feeling good about yourself, it’s all possible by joining your local Gwynedd Council leisure centre.
The new packs offer fantastic benefits when paying by direct debit, which include:
- No contract
- No admin fee
- Free introduction to the fitness room
Councillor Roy Owen, who leads on leisure for the Council, said:
“We all know that keeping active is key to a healthy and happy life. Exercise makes you physically fitter and can help stave off conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. Being active involves being social which can also benefit your mental health and sense of wellbeing.
“I would urge people to make the most of the fantastic range of facilities on offer at the Council’s leisure centres. Whether you choose to buy a monthly ticket or pay by direct debit, these packages offer fantastic benefits and a wide range of other activities with even the most comprehensive package costing less than £1 a day.”
By joining your local Gwynedd Council leisure centre you can benefit from a range of different activities and facilities, such as the fitness room, fitness classes and public swimming – as well as the chance to learn a new sport like badminton, table tennis, squash or tennis.
Qualified staff are on hand to help at all Council centres. Contact your local leisure centre for more details about the monthly packages, or visit: www.gwynedd.gov.uk/leisurecentres
