There won’t be any muddy walls to scale or nets to crawl under but a special new boot camp has been set up in Swansea to help people get in shape quickly.
Early morning fitness sessions are now available at Bishopston Leisure Centre that will give participants the chance to burn between 700 and 1000 calories in an hour.
The sessions are expert-led and offer the chance to radically change your body in four to eight weeks.
Boot camp is suitable for all abilities and offers incentives such as free podcasts and free nutritional advice.
Swansea Council is behind the sessions in collaboration with Advanced Sports Performance.
Boot camp runs from 7am to 8am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Trial drop-in sessions start on February 8.
Richard Clarke, of Advanced Sports Performance, said: “Boot camp fitness sessions first thing in the morning are fantastic because they offer the chance of an intensive work-out before people start work.
“It’s often difficult for people to motivate themselves to exercise after the working day, so this could be the ideal solution for many.
“The sessions are aimed at people who are looking to lose weight, tone up or increase their fitness and participants typically start seeing real results after about four weeks.
“Nutritional tips are also available as part of the course and the opportunity is there to allow people to target certain parts of the body for shaping.
“This is a chance for people to look good and feel great by the time the spring arrives.”
