Plantasia is getting ready for the arrival of cockroaches, spiders and snakes as the popular Animal Antics show makes a welcome return to the Parc Tawe attraction.
During the summer the shows were fully booked with more than 600 adults and children attending the educational insights into creatures such as lizards.
This time around Animal Antics will be a Bug Fest with four creepy crawly shows a day planned on Tuesday October 27, Wednesday October 28 and Thursday October 29.
The sessions take place at 10.30am, noon, 2pm and 3.15pm. They will include a chance to get up close to cockroaches, spiders and snakes.
Plantasia Manager Claire Riordan said: “This is a great opportunity to get up close to insects and discover how they feel, move and smell. It’s wonderful to see children’s faces light up.”
After the show there’s the chance to look around Plantasia which as well as exotic plant life boasts cotton-top tamarin monkeys, iguanas, a chameleon, a bearded dragon, turtles and an aquarium containing various species of fish.
Tickets for the event are £1 per person per show plus Plantasia’s usual entrance fee of £3.80 for adults, £2.80 for children or concessions and £2.10 for Passport to Leisure members. Entry is free for children under three.
This is always a popular event so people are urged to book tickets in advance by contacting Plantasia on 01792 474555. Payment in advance is required to guarantee your space.
