Denbighshire County Council is reminding residents and visitors that it is offering free all day parking in six of its car parks until January 17, to encourage people to shop in the county’s town centres.
The car parks are:
· Mill Street, Llangollen
· Bowling Green, St. Asaph
· Park Road, Ruthin
· Multi-Storey, Denbigh (lower tiers only)
· Morley Road, Rhyl (south section only)
· Fern Avenue, Prestatyn
In addition, there will be free parking in all other council car parks after 3pm each day until January 17.
The council already offers five free parking days during the year to all main towns, to be used at the discretion of the town councils.
The council feels it is vitally important to encourage people to use town centres, especially in this current economic climate.
It is hoped that by offering free parking after 3pm until January 17 will encourage more people to shop locally in the county’s town centres and take advantage of the wealth and variety of shops and businesses that can meet of all consumers.
