Gillan: Budget was the day when Labour was found out

Commenting on today’s Budget, Shadow Secretary of State for Wales Cheryl Gillan MP said:

“This was Gordon Brown and Labour’s last chance to show some leadership and give a strong signal that they could tackle the deficit and deal with the mess they have dragged us into.

“Instead we saw an empty Budget full of political posturing and a smattering of stolen announcements.

“This really was the day when Labour was found out. It is clear now that only Conservatives have the energy and drive to get Wales and Britain back on track.”
