Responding to Gordon Brown’s decision today to call the General Election for May 6, Shadow Secretary of State for Wales Cheryl Gillan MP said:
“At the General Election the people of Wales face a clear choice.
“Five more years of Gordon Brown who will kill the economic recovery with Labour’s tax on jobs.
“Or change with David Cameron and the Conservatives with the energy, leadership and values to get the economy moving.
“The European election result proves that only the Conservative Party can beat Labour in Wales.
“That’s why a vote for any other party will save Gordon Brown’s job and keep Labour in power for five more years.
“13 years of Labour has left the Welsh economy in ruins. Wales cannot afford another five years of Gordon Brown.”
