A network of dedicated volunteers will come together once again next week to see how they can continue to help make Caerphilly county borough an even safer place.
The Safer Caerphilly Volunteer Network, which comprises more than 200 volunteers, will meet with council, police and health officials to discuss how they can continue to play a key role in helping to tackle crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour in Caerphilly county borough.
The event will take place on Monday 23rd May at Caerphilly County Borough Council’s headquarters Penallta House, from 5.45pm until 7.15pm.
The focus of this meeting will primarily focus on informing members of the Safer Caerphilly Volunteer Network about substance misuse, and the services available within Caerphilly county borough to help tackle this issue.
Cllr Rob Gough, Cabinet Member for Public Protection said, “Multi agency working is vital in our quest for even safer communities, and it is especially pleasing that we also have the local knowledge and commitment of this dedicated group of volunteers to work with us in achieving our goal”.
He continued, “I would encourage anyone who is interested in joining this ever-growing family of volunteers to come along and find out more”.
The Safer Caerphilly Volunteer Network acts as the vital direct link between crime and disorder fighting agencies and the communities they serve in Caerphilly county borough.
