Work on a £300,000 scheme to improve the flood defences for the Glasdir Estate in Ruthin is due to start this week.
The flood defence system is being manufactured by Ruthin Precast Concrete, with the installation work being carried out by Dawnus Construction.
Contractors will be moving on to the site in the coming few days and the work is expected to take around two months to complete.
Councillor David Smith, Cabinet Lead Member for Public Realm, said; “We acknowledge that it has been an anxious time for residents of Glasdir and there have been a number of hurdles to overcome before we could proceed with the work.
“With contractors now preparing to move on site, we hope that seeing the works come to fruition will remove any remaining anxieties and give some reassurance and peace of mind to residents”.

The cost of the work is being shared between the County Council, the site developer (Taylor Wimpey) and the Welsh Government.
