Global Board Nomination for Business School Student

First year business student at the University of Glamorgan Jake Jones, has received global recognition in his first year of study.

Jake, from Cardiff, was entered into a Global Challenge Futures competition by his lecturers Professor Duncan Lewis and Lesley Long of the Glamorgan Business School.

This high profile competition organised by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) was open to students from around the world to address some of the challenges facing young undergraduates and graduates.

Jake made a significant impression on the judges and was asked to be one of only 12 students, out of 2000, to join the Challenge Future Global Youth Board Forum.

Board members were selected based on their great passion for sustainability, innovative suggestions for the Challenge Futures competition as well as for their contribution and interaction with other Challenge Futures members.

Business Degree Programme leader and Jake’s mentor, Lesley Long said, “This is a fantastic achievement for both Jake and the Glamorgan Business School. To be asked to represent young university students from around the globe on the Global Youth Board Forum is wonderful recognition. Jake will be joining an international network of future decision makers and can fly the flag for Glamorgan Business School and for Wales. We are so proud of his achievements.”
