In Grangetown the Liberal Democrats have chosen their candidates for next year’s local elections.
Sitting Councillors David Morgan and Francesca Montemaggi will be joined by local resident Paul Harding ahead of next year’s poll.
In the last two local elections, the Liberal Democrats beat the Labour party in the poll which saw Plaid Cymru and the Conservatives finish in third and fourth place.
Paul Harding summarised what the Liberal Democrats think they have achieved:
“Liberal Democrats in Cardiff are proud of the fact that we are investing in key services such as weekly recycling, alley gating and a free graffiti removal, whilst keeping Council Tax levels low. When Labour ran the city Council Tax rises averaged 11% and since 2004 that rise has been less than 3%.”
