Wayne Tudball, who has Bi -Polar disorder, has been a community volunteer with Gwent Police for five years. He regularly takes part in role play training for probationers and PCSO’s and educates officers and staff about his condition.
Wayne, who is from Oakdale, was presented with his award by Policing Minister Nick Herbert at The Special Constable and Police Support Volunteer Awards 2010 which were held in London recently. The awards were organised by the National Police Improvement Agency.

“I work with a number of volunteers and am happy with the recognition for myself and for them. Working as a volunteer is of mutual benefit – to the force and to volunteers. I enjoy working with the Community Cohesion Team at Gwent Police who are very understanding of the needs of Community Volunteers,”
