There is an opportunity for the people of Gwynedd to voice their opinions on Gwynedd Council’s new Disability Equality Scheme for 2009-12.
Gwynedd residents can play a part in the consultation process by letter, e-mail or telephone call, or attending one of three meeting.
The meetings will be held at:
- Monday, 26 October – Canolfan Frondeg, Pwllehli
- Tuesday, 27 October – Glan Wnion Leisure Centre, Dolgellau
- Wednesday, 28 October – Celtic Royal Hotel, Caernarfon
All meetings will start at 6.30pm
Councillor Dewi Lewis, Gwynedd Council’s Development Portfolio Leader, said:
“This is an important document aimed at improving services for disabled people over the next three years. I would urge anyone with an interest in these issues to give their opinion of the scheme.”
To avoid consultation duplication, an officer from the Snowdonia National Park Authority will also be present at the meetings to hear the views of the public.
To obtain a copy of the Council’s Scheme, or for further information, contact Delyth Williams, Disability Equality Officer, on 01286 679452 or e-mail [email protected]).
