Gwynedd Council has secured more than £200,000 from the Welsh Assembly’s Môn a Menai fund to improve community facilities in the Bangor and Caernarfon areas.
Investment in some areas supports Gwynedd Council’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions – the Council has signed up to a Carbon Management Plan which aims to reduce our carbon emissions by 60% by 2020. The Council aims to achieve reductions by investing relatively small amounts in ways of reducing energy use, which will also reduce running costs for the public purse.
