Families looking for something to do during half term should head to Llancaiach Fawr living history museum in Nelson next week (14 -17 February).
In the Manor House there will be 17th Century court sessions presided over by local Justice of the Peace and owner of the manor, Colonel Edward Pritchard.
Visitors will hear some interesting and unexpected cases based on real 17th century trials and even get to vote and a decide the ‘fate’ of defendants.
These take place at 11.00amn 12.30pm, 2.00pm and 3.30pm and standard entry charges apply. At the same time, in the education block the attraction will be running Spring craft sessions where visitors can have a go at making spring flowers, bunny hats, biscuit butterflies, frog masks and caterpillars.
These activities run between 11am and 4pm and are free with paid entry to the manor or are £4.25 per child (adults free if not using manor).
Visitors will also have the opportunity to throw wet sponges at local fundraiser Joanne James who is raising money for the Alzheimers society and will be placed in the stocks in the courtyard.
