Police in Cardiff are seeking the assistance of Llanrumney residents after an elderly lady was victim of a handbag snatch.
The 84-year-old woman had collected cash from the post office in Countisbury Avenue and was walking along Bampton Road at around 11am yesterday (Wednesday, April 13) when a man grabbed her bag and continued running down the road.

The suspect is described as tall, slim, around 5ft9in to 5ft 11in tall, and was wearing a navy blue hooded top which had a white stripe on the hood.
Sergeant Chris Fennessey, from Rumney Police Station, said: “To target an elderly woman in this way is disgraceful and the person responsible should be thoroughly ashamed.
“The lady was clearly shaken and upset by what had taken place but fortunately was not injured.
“We are continuing to check CCTV in the area in order to get an image of the thief but in the meantime we urge anyone with information, or who thinks they may have seen him, to contact us.”
The stolen handbag, which is has not been found, is tan in colour, leather on one side and fabric on the other.
It contained a purse, described as cream, long and flat.
