Plans for extensive developments at Rhyl’s Foryd Harbour are to go on public display.
The current proposals are to construct a new public square, a quay side building and an extended quay wall, which will complement the existing harbour infrastructure and the planned pedestrian and cycle bridge.
The Foryd Harbour development, which is part of the Physical Regeneration of North Wales project, is externally funded through the European Regional Development Fund and the Welsh Government.
The new bridge forms part of a national project from Sustrans. The charity were awarded £50million by the Big Lottery Fund in 2007 to help fund a series of new walking and cycling routes in communities across the UK, which will enable people to make more everyday journeys without needing to rely on a car.
The Council wants to provide information to residents and groups that may be interested in or affected by the plans.
An information exhibition will be held at:
- Rhyl Town Hall – Saturday, 12 November – 9am-1pm
- Rhyl Yacht Club – Thursday, 17 November – 9am-7pm
- Unit 1a Children’s Village, Rhyl Promenade – Friday, 18 November 9am-6pm
Information stands will also be available at Rhyl Library from Monday, 14 November until Saturday, 19 November and at Kinmel Bay Library between Monday, 21 November and Saturday, 26 November.
