Monmouth Assembly Member Nick Ramsay is reminding constituents to take part in the Welsh Government’s consultation on guidance for school transport provision and the code for behaviour on learner travel in Monmouthshire.
Initial feedback to the All Wales Travel Behaviour Code has shown it to be valued by local authorities for setting out the standards of behaviour required of learners when they are travelling to and from school but has identified a number of areas where it could be more effective.
Urging anyone with an interest in learner travel to take part in the consultation, Mr Ramsay said:
“This is a great opportunity for young people, parents, local authorities and those who provide learner travel to express their views on whether the travel code for behaviour is working properly and to clarify their rights and responsibilities.”
