Have your say on Torfaen’s transport link

This is your chance to have your say on the future of North Torfaen’s transport network.

The Heads of the Valleys Regeneration Programme has funded a substantial study looking at ways of improving the road and transportation infrastructure in North Torfaen.

Torfaen Council is carrying out the study with the assistance of local consultants AECOM, and they now want to get your views on proposed improvements.

The study area has covered the route along the A4043 from the main roundabout on the A472 at Pontymoile, north past Tesco, Pontnewynydd, Abersychan and on to Talywain along Lodge Road.

A series of public roads shows carried out in March this year displayed a wide range of options to deal with the existing and future transport issues experienced by motorists, users of public transport, pedestrians and cyclists.

Two of the options have been identified to be developed in more detail – and these will now be the subject of a series of public roadshow events in Pontypool and Abersychan.

Your views are important to us and we would welcome your attendance at the event, where you will have the chance to ask designers any questions that you may have in regard to the proposals.

The events will be held from 12pm until 6pm on Tuesday, November 9 in the foyer of Pontypool Tesco and from 12pm until 8pm on Wednesday, November 10 at Brynteg Community Hall, High Street, Abersychan.
