The Chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council, Councillor Anne Hughes, has presented £460 to the Help the Heroes charity.
The money was raised during the collection at the recent Civic Service marking her election as Chairman.
Councillor Hughes personally chose the charity for its work helping service men and women who are injured in conflicts around the world.
She invited representatives of the charity to a special reception at County Hall last week to hand over the cheques.
The Civic Service was held at St Katharine and St Peter’s Church in Milford Haven on Sunday 13th September this year.
