People across Wrexham are being urged to help celebrate St David’s Day by taking part in the town’s official parade.
Organisers at Wrexham Council want to hear from schools, groups and individuals keen to take part in the event, which was introduced last year and proved an instant hit.
The event will kick-off at 2pm on Monday, March 1, with the procession starting from the pay and display car park off St Giles Link Road, and weaving it’s way through Tuttle Street, York Street, High Street, Hope Street, Argyle Arch and Rhosddu Road before finishing at Llwyn Isaf at around 2.30pm.
The Cambria Drum Band will provide the soundtrack and St Christopher’s School will help lead the way with their giant dragon mascot.
Councillor Rodney Skelland, lead member for regeneration and corporate governance, said: “The parade proved a great success last year with lots of people lining the streets, and we hope it’ll become a permanent fixture in Wrexham’s calendar.
