Hidden City Holiday Park Males for an Egg-cellent Getaway

With the Easter holidays just around the corner many people will be looking to take a break away and enjoy the spring sunshine.

One holiday spot that ticks all the boxes lies nestled away in the heart of the Welsh Capital.

Cardiff Caravan Park is one of the city’s best kept secrets and is an appealing accommodation solution for families, couples and sports fans wishing to visit the city.

The unique caravan and camp site is situated in 300 acres of beautiful parkland within walking distance of Cardiff city centre.

The facility, managed by Cardiff Council has been open to visitors to the City for more than 50 years and is an ideal quiet base from which to explore the various attractions in and around the city.

Few sites can match the location and despite its central position the site feels almost rural and it is easy to forget the hustle and bustle of Cardiff city centre is just a short walk away.

The historic Llandaff Cathedral, Bute Park, Cardiff Castle, shopping district and the Millennium Stadium are all in walking distance with the waterfront attractions of Cardiff Bay also easily within reach.

The facility boasts 43 individual grasscrete pitches, room for 20 caravans on soft standing and 40 tent pitches on soft standing areas.

There is also cycle hire available within the site, CCTV monitoring, laundry facilities, dishwashing areas and two service blocks with showers and toilets including specialist family and disabled facilities.

Executive Member for Sport, Leisure and Culture, Cllr Nigel Howells said: “The Cardiff Caravan Park offers visitors to the city the best of both worlds. It is situated in fantastically peaceful and beautiful parkland with the vibrant, exciting city centre in walking distance.

“With its great sporting and culture events, shopping, cultural venues and diverse nightlife Cardiff continues to be hugely popular with visitors around the world and this site is an asset to our city.”
