Council workers in Swansea have removed 20 trees that were blown over during high winds over night.
Special tree removal teams equipped with chainsaws and other specialist equipment worked through the night to make sure the trees were not blocking main roads.
Further work will continue during the next few days to ensure that the trees which were felled are removed.
The Council confirmed that areas including, Cockett, Parkmill and Loughor were all affected by the high winds.
A Swansea Council spokesperson said: “Various teams in the Council have been working throughout the night to ensure main roads and highways are not affected by the high winds. Trees that either fell or were at risk of falling over were dealt with very quickly. Fortunately we haven’t had any instances of flooding reported to us.
“If residents are concerned about trees that are at risk of falling over because of the recent high winds, they should contact our call centre to report it.”
