25 year old Rhian Johns, a modern apprentice at Neath Port Talbot Council, has scooped a top award at the Proskills Apprenticeship Awards in Birmingham.
Rhian, from Morriston, has worked in the print and graphics unit for 2 years and was successful in receiving a highly commended award in the category of ‘Apprentice of the Year’
The awards celebrate star performers in the process and manufacturing sector, the people who will be tomorrow’s leaders and innovators.
Council Leader, Ali Thomas, has congratulated Rhian for her excellent achievement.
“Rhian has done extremely well not only in reaching the finals but in picking up a top award as well.
“She has represented Neath Port Talbot Council at a national level and we can all take pride in her success.”
Terry Watts, Chief Executive of Proskills, added, “Once again this year, we saw an extremely high calibre of entries representing individuals and companies from all over England, Wales and Scotland across the process and manufacturing sector.
“This provided a very difficult task for our judges in trying to identify finalists.
“Without exception, all our finalists have made outstanding use of the opportunities presented to them.”
