South Wales Police investigating an armed robbery at a Cynon Valley betting shop has released CCTV of the suspect.
At around 10.20am on Thursday, April 1 a man entered Ladbrokes, in High Street, Hirwaun, armed with a knife demanding cash from a female member of staff.
He is described as white, thin, in his early 20s, with dark hair.
He was wearing a scarf, a green hooded top with a black peaked cap under the hood, fingerless gloves, and was carrying a rucksack.
A quantity of cash was stolen and the suspect fled in the direction of Hirwaun Rugby Club.
Detective Inspector Phil Camm, from Cynon CID, said: “This was a serious incident and one which we at South Wales Police are continuing to investigate.
“This incident lasted around two minutes and although the woman working in the shop was thankfully not injured, this was an extremely frightening experience for her.
“We are determined to catch the person the responsible and extensive enquiries have been carried out since it happened back in April.
“We are now seeking the assistance of the public to identify the man in the CCTV stills. I would ask anyone who recognises him to contact Aberdare CID on 01685 724284 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
