Denbighshire County Council has successfully defended its decision to refuse planning permission for 60 holiday lodges at the Blue Hand Field site in Lleweni Parc, Bodfari.
A Planning Inspector appointed by the Welsh Assembly Government supported the Council’s case stating that there was insufficient justification for siting the tourism scheme in the location proposed.
The Council had strong concerns that the holiday lodge scheme would result in the loss of good quality agricultural land. It was also concerned that the highway conditions in this rural location would not support such a scheme resulting in more car movements and inadequate pedestrian links. The Inspector agreed with these points and dismissed the appeal.
