Elderly people living in parts of Anglesey have battery free torches next to their beds in case of power cuts.
The wind up torches have been supplied to residents in areas of Benllech, Pentraeth and Moelfre thanks to a working partnership between North Wales Police and Fire Service.
PCSO Iona Beckmann said that the free torches had been very well received by the elderly people.
She said:” We visited them at their homes to give them advice and suggested that they keep the torches by their beds in case of a power cut or a fire at home.
“This was all part of a home security initiative working with Neighbourhood Watch teams,” she said.
