At 14:22hrs on Saturday 15th February, officers from South Wales Police attended a house fire at Peach Place, Fairwater along with colleagues from the fire service.
The fire was contained to one address however, occupants from adjoining properties were evacuated for a short time to allow the fire to be tackled effectively, all occupants have since returned home.
A 26 year old male was taken to University Hiospital of Wales, Cardiff where he received treatment for minor burns and smoke inhalation.
A joint investigation between the police and fire service is underway however, police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the matter at this stage.
