How do I… project is launched

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking suggestions from residents about which council services they think should be promoted as part of a new project.

Called How do I…,
the project aims to make it easier and simpler for local residents to access some of the authority’s most useful services.

It seeks to create a series of posters which use images rather than words to explain how householders can do things like report flytipping, get help with nuisance noise, register to vote or receive advice about dealing with a rogue trader.

Four initial posters have been designed to help launch the project, but the council wants local residents to put forward their own suggestions for other services that they feel could be included.

Council Leader Mel Nott said: “The How do I… project is designed to make it easier for people to use our services. We want to know what kind of council services residents think should be promoted – for example, how to report a faulty streetlight, or how to receive home care or meals on wheels.

“The four initial services reflect issues that we regularly receive calls from the public about, but with your help, the project can be expanded so that even more people know how to get access to a particular service.”
