Carmarthenshire’s 50+ Champion is urging older people to take their remaining chance to play golf free at Garnant Golf Club.
The club is offering free golf for the whole of October as part of the celebrations of Older People’s Day held on October 1.
Carmarthenshire County Council’s 50+ Forum teamed up with the authority’s leisure services to provide a host of exclusive offers for people aged 50 and over.
Deputy council leader and 50+ Champion, Councillor Kevin Madge, said: “I am delighted by the public response and would urge people to take the opportunity to play golf for free in Garnant. They have until the end of this month.”
The council has a thousand-strong forum of people aged 50 and over, who help shape services in the county by contributing their views via a survey they answer three times a year.
To book golf at Garnant, contact the club on 01269 823365. Forum members also receive copies of a 50+ magazine, which contains a range of articles tailored to older people living in Carmarthenshire.
