Dame Fiona Reynolds, Director-General of the National Trust for more than a decade, will be the guest speaker at Cardiff Business Club next month in an event sponsored by ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales).
David Lermon, ICAEW director for Wales, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring this event. The ICAEW and the National Trust, while very different organisations, have much in common – notably the highest of standards, each with integrity and are expanding and creating effective partnerships with organisations and communities.
“The National Trust plays such a key role in preserving the heritage of the United Kingdom and Dame Fiona has been at the helm during a sustained period of growth.
“It looks after many of our wonderful buildings, which are open to the public, as well as more than 700 miles of coastline and 650,000 acres of land for the nation.”
For the last two years the Trust has run social marketing campaigns to inspire and enable consumers to grow and eat more seasonal fruit and vegetables, working with businesses and NGOs (Non-Governmental Organisations).
Dame Fiona will speak at the Cardiff Business Club, which meets at the St David’s Hotel, on January 9th, 2012.
